Meet The Team

Dr. Jarschke was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. After studying 3 years at the University of Manitoba in the Faculty of Science, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, USA to pursue study in chiropractic. Four and a half years later in March of 1998, Dr. Jarschke graduated with honors from Life University with a Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC). For three years, she worked in research while studying at Life University where she assisted in collecting, testing and computing data for new chiropractic, therapeutic and exercise products. This enabled her to provide chiropractic care to Atlanta 1996 Olympic athletes.

In 1999, she fulfilled her lifelong dream of moving to Australia after practicing in the USA. Over the past 13 years she has provided care to patients in Emerald, Moranbah, Middlemount, Cloncurry, Winton, Longreach, Mount Isa, Sarina, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Townsville. Dr. Jarschke has been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a wide range of people and finds her work very rewarding. She has a special interest in family wellness care and children, since many spinal problems can occur in early infancy as a result of a difficult birth or trauma. Dr. Jarschke offers clinical excellence with the latest safe and natural chiropractic care. Her goal is to prevent health problems and to enhance health and wholeness through the reduction of spinal nerve stress.

Dr Suzanne Jarschke was awarded Owner Manger of the Year in Townsville by the AIM in recognition of her outstanding achievements. She attended the 2010 Management Excellence Awards as a finalist in this category. Dr Suzanne and her husband Terry have a beautiful daughter Anais.

Dr. Kyle McCandless graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas, and joined our team in 2008 after practising in Seattle Washington. Dr. McCandless grew up in the United Stated in a suburb just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated high school in 1998 and went on to pursue his undergraduate studies from the University of Utah with an emphasis in exercise physiology. While at school he met his future wife Linsey. After a personal experience with chiropractic care, he was inspired to pursue a future in the healing art. Shortly after, he moved to Dallas, Texas to attend Parker College of Chiropractic. It was there that Dr. McCandless began to develop his skills and knowledge of chiropractic. Just prior to graduation they had their first child, Ryder and had a beautiful daughter Elle in May 2009.

The McCandless family has been enjoying their time in Townsville. Dr. McCandless brings his strong philosophy in natural care and healing to Wellspring Chiropractic.

Frances Middleton Married with two adult sons, Frances has had a wonderful career in many areas of customer service, ranging from the travel industry to the fashion industry. Having moved from Melbourne to Townsville 15 years ago, she has made strong friendships and enjoys many interests including cooking and walking. Thrilled to now be involved in chiropractic health services, Frances looks forward to interacting with a new group of people and continuing her ongoing CA training.

Vicky Gaastra moved to Townsville from New Zealand, with her fluffy four legged family, and is loving our tropical Northern Queensland climate.With her customer focused personality, and over 15 years expericence in administration, we are confident Vicky will complement our team nicely.

Amanda Moss was born and grew up in Townsville. She lived and worked in Melbourne and Dubai before returning to Townsville in 2001. She is married to Ian and has a beautiful 5yr old daughter Makenzi. Amanda, husband Ian and daughter Mackenzi welcomed Parker Brock to the world on March 31, 2010.

Tara has recently moved from the Sunshine Coast to Townsville with her partner Benny and her pug dog Ruby. She enjoys the outdoors and loves our tropical Northern Queensland climate for her fishing, camping and beach hobbies. Tara’s vibrant personality and her customer oriented way has quickly established her position in our team. In addition to this, her four years previous Chiropractic Assistant experience in Mackay and Brisbane, along with seven years in administration, has made Tara an invaluable asset to our practice.
