What is Chiropractic?
Initially, people seek chiropractic care for many different reasons. Our professional objective is to detect, correct and prevent the recurrence of spinal subluxations. A spinal subluxation involves a misalignment and loss of movement of a bone in the spinal column which interferes to nervous system function. It may be caused by any physical, chemical or emotional stresses to which the body cannot adapt. Chiropractors use specific spinal adjustments to correct subluxations.
Vertebral Subluxations:
- Are often caused by the birth process
- Cause your brain to lose touch with your body
- Are often the underlying cause of other problems
- Reduce your vitality, energy and endurance
- Are often difficult to correct if neglected
- Can be present without obvious symptoms
- Influence your blood pressure and circulatory system
- Can affect every organ, tissue and system of your body
- Compromise your ability to adapt to your environment
- Produce degenerative changes throughout your body
- Is the primary focus of chiropractic care
